The Tech Interactive Receives $1.65 Million ASML Grant to Expand STEM Access
In this episode of Global Economic Press, Alex Brady discusses a significant development in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education. The Tech Interactive, a prominent science center located in San Jose, has been awarded a substantial grant of $1.65 million from ASML, a leading company in semiconductor technology. This partnership is designed to enhance access to hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics experiences for young people, particularly those from under-resourced communities. The initiative aims to inspire the next generation of innovators by providing free and subsidized field trips for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade and expanding participation in The Tech Challenge, which offers students the opportunity to design, build, test, and solve real-world problems.
The collaboration between The Tech Interactive and ASML underscores a shared commitment to expanding Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics access and innovation. The funding will help remove barriers and increase volunteer engagement, allowing more students to envision themselves as future engineers and problem-solvers. The Tech Interactive continues to seek additional support to meet the growing demand for experiential learning opportunities. This partnership also provides more opportunities for ASML employees to volunteer and mentor students, helping them connect classroom learning to real-world careers.
