University of Guyana Students’ Society and Women’s Haven®️ Guyana Sign Pioneering Washroom Amenities Project Agreement

In this episode of Global Economic Press, Alex Brady discusses a groundbreaking collaboration between the University of Guyana Students’ Society and Women’s Haven Guyana. This partnership aims to revolutionize access to feminine hygiene products on campus, marking a significant step forward in addressing period poverty and promoting women's health. The Washroom Amenities Project, as it is called, was officially launched with a ceremonial signing at the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association Board Room. The initiative is spearheaded by the University of Guyana Students’ Society and supported by Women’s Haven Guyana, which is known for its 100% organic sanitary pads and liners infused with graphene. These products are designed to combat irritation, infections, and other health concerns associated with traditional feminine care products.

The project aims to ensure that female students across the University of Guyana’s campuses have access to essential sanitary products in washrooms. The University of Guyana Students’ Society has committed to promoting the initiative through education campaigns and stakeholder engagement. The partnership also aligns with national efforts to combat period poverty, a cause championed by Guyana’s First Lady. The Washroom Amenities Project is expected to expand its reach to other universities and educational institutions across Guyana, fostering a culture of health and dignity for students.
